Crafted from recycled NZ Rimu timber, the puhoro lid design is a traditional Maori tattoo design used on the arms or legs, and relates to the sea. This particular, modern Maori puhoro design is reminiscent of the ripples and swirls created by a paddle strike, propelling the waka through water. It symbolizes agility, speed, and dexterity, qualities essential for a warrior. Additionally, the design represents movement, journey, and the momentum of life.
