This Recycled Wood and Paua Tui on Kowhai is a beautiful piece of New Zealand wall art.

On the recycled piece of wood, made to look like driftwood, two Paua Tui birds sit on a kowhai branch, the kowhai in flower with its lovely yellow blooms made from dyed paua shell.

Paua shell is New Zealand's native abalone shell, with beautiful irridescent shades of blue, green, pink and purple. The tui are inlaid with paua shell, and the kowhai are inlaid with dyed paua shell.

The piece of timber measures approximately 30cm x 8.5cm x 2cm (11 7/8' x 3 1/4' x 5/8') and has a hanger on the back.
